The hotel is tucked away in the mountains outside Kandy, a great place to relax. It’s about 45 minutes from central Kandy and 20 minutes from the botanical gardens, but the hotel can arrange transport if you want to go into town. The view is one of the best I’ve ever seen, and relaxing in the beautiful grounds was a highlight of our time in Sri Lanka. The food was excellent, with lots of delicious curries to choose from. All the staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming, and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. They also have a very affectionate dog, which was a huge plus!

The food was made to order and so full of flavor. The staff at Vajrapani were polite and very attentive, and the garden was beautiful. We loved the stunning views and the infinity pool, too. Probably the best stay we’ve had. We’ll definitely return.

We went for a day out and found it peaceful and beautiful, with a really lovely view. The staff were super friendly, the people were nice, and the food was good and affordable. 🥰 After the landslides in sarasawigama, the road was a bit difficult. I think it’s still being maintained. We took a PickMe from Galaha Junction for 720 rupees. I’d suggest going in your own vehicle. On the way back, we asked the people there to arrange a tuk, and that driver charged us 1500 rupees, double the PickMe tuk fare, which felt unfair. 🤑 The people there are very nice. Just be aware there’s a rottweiler, though he wasn’t aggressive. 🐶

Our staff annual trip to Villa Vajrapani was a wonderful experience. The property is stunning, with marvelous views, and the clean, well-maintained rooms and delicious breakfast with a satisfactory spread made the stay relaxing and memorable. Climbing Katusu Konda was a highlight, with breathtaking views and a great adventure. The service was outstanding from the start. Mr. Mewan was a great help with the booking, communicating professionally and warmly, responding promptly, and making sure everything went smoothly. Anushka and his team welcomed us and helped us kindly from arrival through checkout. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway and great hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Vajrapani Kandy with friends last weekend. The staff were so friendly and made it extra special, and the hotel’s location was beautiful. The food was delicious, too. Thanks for the great hospitality. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kandy!
