Beddegama Eco

Dinner and breakfast were freshly made, full of flavor, and served generously. The traditional Sri Lankan food was a real highlight. The staff and hosts were polite, helpful, and made us feel looked after. I spent one night in a tree house at Yala Beddegama Eco. It was clean and well maintained, designed to fit into the forest while still being comfortable. At night, the natural sounds around us made for a peaceful stay. The quiet surroundings helped us switch off from busy city life as soon as we arrived. Yala Beddegama Eco is a good fit for nature lovers looking for an authentic, eco-friendly stay near Yala National Park. I’d love to visit again.

We loved the balance of nature and comfort in the tree house at Yala Beddegama Eco. It was clean, well cared for, and eco-friendly, and the hosts were especially warm and polite. A peaceful, unusual getaway, and a handy base for Yala National Park.

The room was tidy, clean, and in great shape, which was especially impressive so high up among the trees. Food was excellent, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Beddegama Eco Lodge was a fantastic stay and one of the trip’s highlights. Thanks so much to Nimesh and the whole team. We’d gladly recommend it.

The tree houses sit beautifully in nature, and the restaurant food was good. Staff were kind too. We only stayed one night, but it was a highlight near Yala National Park, and even of our time in Sri Lanka. It was calm and lovely, without that over-tourism feeling. The night was quiet, with no car noise. We even saw monkeys running around during the day and fireflies flying through our tree house at night. There are some very cute, gentle dogs there. The puppy looked like he needed help with fleas and ticks, though. The boss was friendly and responsive when we raised our concerns, especially about the puppy, and an employee said they would treat his fleas and ticks. If you go, please check that the dogs are doing well for me, especially that sweet little puppy. He was the kindest, cutest puppy I’ve ever met, and deserves medication and love. Someone wrote in the Google reviews that the place peaked 10 years ago. Maybe that’s true, given the hardship Sri Lanka has been through in recent years. Still, I liked how close to nature it felt. It was a welcome experience, and I can see why it deserves a visit. I really recommend going.
