Camp Leopard - Yala Safari Glamping

We did notice a lot of jeeps crowding around leopard sightings in the park, which we didn’t like. We picked Camp Leopard for its ethical, wildlife-first approach, and really appreciated its responsible attitude. I hope they keep promoting respectful wildlife viewing and conservation over guaranteed sightings. At camp, everything was well organized. Our A-frame was spotless and very comfortable, the food was outstanding, and evenings around the campfires were a highlight. The staff and guides were excellent, and Earl, filling in as camp manager, made us feel incredibly welcome.

Earl hosted and guided us, and we couldn’t have asked for a kinder guide. He told great stories and knew the answer to every question we had about animals and the jungle. We could describe a bird as a yellow and blue one with a green eye, and he’d identify it. He was like a safari encyclopedia. Our driver was great too, knew all the shortcuts, and drove very respectfully. Everything else was amazing as well, from the tasty lunch, breakfast, and dinner to the cute room and the safaris. After safari, they brought fresh drinks and cold towels. We had such a good time and wished we’d stayed one more night. I’d recommend this to anyone. Hope to see you again sometime! Maxime & Emilie

We booked two safaris with Nikki as our guide. He was fantastic and knew so much. The whole approach to wildlife felt ethical, with no chasing and respectful encounters throughout. The manager was friendly and helpful, and all the staff were attentive and welcoming. We had such a great time. I’d recommend booking here if you want good food, comfortable lodging, knowledgeable guides, and respectful drivers.

On Christmas they made us a delicious Sri Lankan dinner beneath the stars. The atmosphere was calm, and the food was great. The tents were beautiful, clean, and comfortable, right in nature, and the hospitality was wonderful. The staff were warm and attentive, especially the manager Ruhan. We had one stay and a dawn safari with a knowledgeable guide. A lovely spot for Yala National Park, and highly recommended.
