Hotel senora kataragama

We spent one night at Senora. The rooms were clean enough, and the location is handy, about a five-minute drive from Kataragama Devalaya. But we had no Wi-Fi, and the milk tea we bought was expensive and didn’t taste good. The bigger problem was the water. The listed price was Rs. 100 for each 1-liter bottle, but we were charged Rs. 150 each for three bottles. When we questioned it, the staff didn’t respond or seem to care. We told them we wouldn’t return. Thanks for replying. If you’re planning to visit this resort, I’d suggest getting your water somewhere else. I’d also like to know if it’s legal to charge more than the displayed price. You or I can check this with the Sri Lanka Consumer Affairs Authority. 18/01/2026 🙏🙏

Getting to the main entrance on foot was easy, and the price was reasonable. We also really liked the clean, comfortable room, the good food, and how friendly and helpful the staff were. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it.

Good value for the money, and the food was nice. There’s only a small area to park, though, and the AC is a bit old. It makes a little noise when it’s in swing mode.

I booked two standard family rooms and a super deluxe room. The bedding didn’t suit the number of people, and one of the standard rooms had a TV while the other had none. Neither standard room had hot water. I’d asked the owner by phone how they differed from the super deluxe, and was told the only differences were a fridge and kettle in that room. The AC units also didn’t work properly, and the linen wasn’t very clean.
