Dolphin Beach

This was my third visit, and I still love Dolphin beach. I first stayed in 2015 and came back in 2026. Can't wait to return! I usually leave two or three days at the end of my Sri Lanka trip to relax here. It's great value, with just nine tents and rooms, and you can go barefoot everywhere because the whole resort is sandy. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, and air-conditioned. Sudesh, the Manager, is flexible and makes sure guests feel pampered, and the staff are attentive and efficient. They ask what you'd like for dinner from a varied, thoughtful menu. I always choose the catch of the day, fresh fish grilled perfectly. Breakfast comes with the best bread I've had in the country. Dolphin watching is recommended.

We had a great time, even though it wasn't the season. Check when the season is if enjoying the beach itself is important to you. The place is still wonderful for relaxing, whether you're here as a couple, with family, or with friends. The staff are super friendly, the food is great, and the hotel looks as lovely and restful as the photos. I'd recommend a visit.

A lovely first stop on our trip around Sri Lanka. Everyone here was welcoming and ready to help, and the food was fantastic. We'll definitely come back. Sri Lankans rock!

We'd happily come back. The tents and open bathrooms give the place a rustic feel, and it's right on a beach where you can swim. It's away from the kite-surfing area, which worked well for families, and the swimming felt safe.
