Seethawaka Royal Resort

The food they cooked was really delicious and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly. But they didn't have much of a customer care attitude, and the whole place seemed to be managed unprofessionally. They weren't reliable, so keep expectations low. We booked the whole villa for one night. The owner had promised food when we reserved, then called on the morning we arrived to say they couldn't get meat and some other provisions because of the country's fuel shortage, and asked us to bring supplies. Lunch was promised for the second day too, but that morning we were told it couldn't be provided, so we had to change our plans. I'm sure there are other good places around Seethawaka that offer better value for the money.

The surroundings were somewhat cool, but even that was disturbed by their vehicles. The rooms weren't clean or tidy, and at night we experienced cockroaches and insects. We ordered two large portions of fried rice for lunch, but it was just garbage. The rice and curries weren't good either. Friendly service from the staff, including the owner, matters more than a beautiful setting, and we didn't get it here. We were drawn in by the pictures, but after arriving we saw what this resort was really like. If you're thinking of booking, keep that in mind. For the last time, I recommend you don't stay here!

Mr Jayantha was really helpful and friendly, and we got good service throughout our stay. This is a quiet, calm, beautiful place with well-maintained grounds. The rooms and washrooms were clean, and the pool was clean too. There's no buffet, so you have to order food, but what we had was tasty. We really enjoyed our stay. Set in a huge rubber field, this is a calm and quiet spot not far from Colombo. The villa is spacious, with five large air-conditioned rooms. There are no noise restrictions, and the food and service were good.
