Adaviya Resort

We had dinner from the resort restaurant and really enjoyed the food. The room was spacious and spotless, and so was the bathroom. It was a comfortable stay.

The rooms were comfy and spacious, and the washrooms were clean. Staff were friendly, and the place felt like good value. The food portions were generous for the low price. The taste was okay, though nothing amazing. A decent place to stay while visiting.

We stayed on 17th April 2025, and my 15-year-old son was vomiting with a bad stomach the next morning as we were checking out. We had eaten lunch and dinner at the hotel the day before and nowhere else. He had pasta for lunch and an egg omelet for dinner, so I told the manager I was concerned about possible food poisoning. Soon after, my husband and I became sick too, and my son was hospitalized. I can’t say for certain what caused it, but I suspect the eggs may have been expired or rotten, or that food was prepared unsafely while the chief cook was away. The manager’s response didn’t feel empathetic. Even though it was off peak and staff were around, he seemed reluctant to send someone into Mahiyanganya town to buy a packet of jeewani. We were charged for the coffee we ordered for our sick child, and nobody kindly checked whether he was improving. I would have expected a follow-up call about him. I don’t recommend eating here. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and the Dialog TV connection was disconnected due to non-payment.

I chose a triple room over the phone using the WhatsApp photos, and it was ready as shown. Excellent service. Superb place, highly recommend.
