Rock Pool Residence

The hosts were so kind and always ready to help, and the food was delicious with generous portions. Our clean, comfortable room had a lovely garden view and a balcony where we could relax. The beach is beautiful and only a two-minute walk away, with nature all around and maybe even a turtle if you’re lucky. I really recommend staying here.

We spent three weeks traveling in Sri Lanka, and this was the best accommodation of our trip. Our one-bedroom challet was brand new, clean, and comfortable, and the hosts were warm and very helpful. The garden was gorgeous and the area peaceful. You can walk to the beach in 10 minutes or get there by tuk-tuk in two. I highly recommend it.

Our little hut in the yard was lovely, and it was so quiet that we slept like rocks. It only had a fan, but it worked really well. The hosts were very nice and breakfast was awesome. A relaxing place to stay, close to the beach.

The property itself seemed nice and had real potential, but we left because we couldn’t trust the staff and didn’t know what else might happen. We booked through Agoda, whose listing said every room had air conditioning and Wi-Fi. That was completely wrong, and staff didn’t care or try to fix it. We needed both to work remotely, so we tried to switch rooms and find a compromise. Each time, staff came up with what seemed like a random booking or tried to charge us much more. It felt unethical and showed how disorganized they were. They then said they had no Agoda account, despite our knowing of more than 20 previous Agoda bookings and reviews. We knew this wasn’t true because they canceled our reservation in Agoda the next morning to open the dates again. Even if the misleading treatment wasn’t intentional, the customer service was terrible and they seemed to know nothing about running a hospitality business.
