Tranquality Chalets

We liked it so much we added three days to our stay. It was hard to leave. The place is clean and comfortable, with a great bed and a balcony where you can read, have tea, or just sit quietly listening to nature. The garden is lovely, full of flowers and birds. The owner and his family were kind and helped us with everything. The meal we had here was easily the best of our trip in Sri Lanka. We’re so happy we met them, and hope to return soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We meant to stay three days, but ended up spending 15. We were the only guests and felt so comfortable in the lovely chalets surrounded by nature, staying with such a warm and kind family. We could easily have stayed longer. Udar was a lovely host and an amazing cook. Every day he and his Mom made us fresh Sri Lankan food, and it was the best. The chalets felt new, with a comfortable bed, a good shower supplied by a solar tank on the roof, and two mattresses on the veranda for relaxing. The rooms are quite big and don’t get too hot, so we never used the fan. There’s a small shop across the street for essentials or scooter rental. We recommend this beautiful place and will definitely be back. Many thanks to Udar and his parents for taking such good care of us!

We stayed in the two-bedroom villa over New Year’s and had a great time. It was clean and had everything our family needed, and the hosts were helpful with anything we asked for. They brought us a lovely breakfast and some local sweets to try. A great place for families looking to stay near Tangalle’s better beaches. Highly recommended.

We felt at home thanks to Udar, who was such a warm, kind, and generous host. He brought us fresh coconuts each day and made what was easily the best breakfast we’d had in Sri Lanka so far. He used to run a restaurant and is a real chef. I ordered dinner a couple of times too, and it was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend and I spent three days here and had a wonderful time. We were lucky to be the only guests. Our chalet was cozy, very clean, and comfortable. Udar is a perfect host, highly recommended.
