We stayed for four weeks and loved the peaceful atmosphere and privacy. The simple cabana was clean, with a pleasant terrace where we could relax to the sound of the ocean, birds and monkeys. It's tucked among the trees, about a ten-minute ride from Tangalle centre and a three-minute walk from the beautiful turtle beach.

The quiet setting was what stayed with us most. There’s plenty of room, so even when the place is full it doesn’t feel crowded, and a wild beach with huge crashing waves is just a five minute walk away. We saw peacocks, monkeys, mongooses and frogs, along with two very happy, well cared for dogs. We spent a week here in December 2019 and left feeling so settled we didn’t want to go. The guys looking after the place were lovely and took great care of us. Meals were fresh, healthy and delicious, and we enjoyed the cooking class so much that we took it too. It’s a lovely spot for nature, peace and good food, and we can’t wait to return. We’d been a little concerned by older reviews mentioning parties and noise. Those were from before April 2019, when different people ran the place. Since the new guys took over in 2019, they’ve worked hard to improve it. They’re genuinely kind, peaceful, friendly and smiley, and we highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed ourselves so much that we added more time to our stay. The staff were super friendly, and our room was clean. The accommodation is an easy walk from the beach, with little bungalows, a bar and dinner area, plus lots of garden hammocks to relax in. It has a great atmosphere, and I can warmly recommend it.

The chef makes amazing Sri Lankan food, and we had a great cooking class with him. The place is outside town, close to nature, and there was lovely wildlife around, all cute and nothing dangerous. It suited us well for a quiet stay. The management that people complained about for partying over a year ago has since been replaced by a lovely group of young people. They’re quiet, responsible and incredibly helpful. They switched our beds when I asked, so I could have a firmer mattress, and helped arrange transport. They also gave us useful information about the area and places to see. Great place, great people. Looking forward to going back soon!

Nice, calm setting close to nature and the beach. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious ❤️ The guest rooms could use some improvement, though.
