The sand at the beach is incredibly soft, and the whole shoreline looks like a postcard. Having our own pool and the beach right nearby was a great setup. We also loved that local places to eat were close and, for us, the best on the island. The lagoon buffet and the grub hub were our favourites. Much better than paying the steep meal prices at a major resort.

My family loved the villa and everything around it. This was my favourite place in Sri Lanka, a 10/10 stay. I only wish we could've stayed longer. Thanks to our host for making everything perfect.

We booked two nights, and the pool was never properly cleaned. Its filter wasn't working, and the manager hadn't even turned on the pool lights, so it was dark both nights. After we left, the woman we'd communicated with while booking, rebbecca, claimed we had damaged the lights and wanted extra money without checking whether anything was wrong. First she said we broke a light, then she said the lights wouldn't switch on. The place itself was a mess, and we found the whole situation cheap and arrogant. It's an old property that hasn't been managed properly and isn't worth the money. I'd never recommend it.

My partner and I spent time at tangalle casa in August 2022. The yard gave us some wonderful memories, and the place is lovely, close to a beautiful exotic beach. We were very happy with the quick service and cleaning from the kind Sri Lankan staff. Those days will stay in our hearts.
