The hosts were amazing, and since it’s a family-run business they make sure everything is just right. The food cooked by the host’s mom was yummy, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was outstanding. The only small downside was the wifi, which stopped working now and then, though the host did his best to fix it. The place is in central Mirissa, near the beach, but still quiet and away from road noise. I recommend it as a good hotel.

You get what you pay for at this cost efficient place. The rooms were good, with AC and a balcony, though there was a strong Ayurvedic oil smell and broken balcony chairs. The owner can arrange a whale watching tour. A side note about those tours: I wouldn’t recommend whale watching in general. We spent six hours on a boat and saw a couple of dolphins and a small dark dot far away, which was probably a whale. As soon as it was spotted, all the nearby boats chased it.

A nice place to spend your holiday, and good value for what we paid. Breakfast was free, and Mirissa beach is very close. There are plenty of restaurants, banks, and supermarkets nearby.

Just a short walk from Mirissa beach, with chilled beer available and options for whale watching, bike hire, and airport drop-off. The rooms were average, so it seems best for a brief stay.

Lunch at Shehan restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. The service team was among the friendliest we met in Mirissa. Definitely recommend it.
