The man is an absolute legend, a God-level singer, and a total superstar. His hospitality is top notch, he shares his experiences, and he'll arrange whale watching for you at an extremely cheap price. Honestly, you could stay here for him alone. The one bad point was the bathroom: it's shared, not very good quality, and especially the toilet seat.

The host made the stay especially nice, always friendly and ready to help. I was there for two nights. The room was basic but cozy, with a dependable hot shower, and breakfast was hearty. Great value for the money.

I liked having a quiet place to retreat to, while the centre and its fancier spots were only a few minutes away on foot. The owner is nice. Go in without expecting high standards, since the price is low, and you can get a peaceful room.

The host, a former military man, was really friendly and helpful. He explained how far nearby places were, where to find the closest ATM and beach, and what tuk-tuk rides to popular spots might cost. It’s a homestay with a shared bathroom, about 1-2 km from Mirissa beach. The rooms are above average, though they don’t feel especially cozy. A budget option in Mirissa.
