We were happy with our stay. The bed was comfortable, there was a mosquito net and good air conditioning, and the balcony had a lovely view of the treeline. The staff were attentive and quick to help with any problems, and the laundry service was good. It was excellent value for money. We did have some trouble with the shower’s hot water, though it didn’t bother us much in the heat. The peacocks around the building were very loud and woke us in the morning.
We spent more than two weeks here and felt at home. It’s clean, comfortable, and well looked after, with the beach, cafés, and shops close by despite the quiet setting. The hosts were kind, responsive, and helpful throughout. We’d happily come back, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Mirissa.
I came back to Orchid Rest for a second stay while I was in Mirissa. The hosts are incredibly kind, and the room was clean with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Beaches, restaurants, and supermarkets are all just a few minutes away on foot, yet the accommodation stays peaceful at night. Thanks, Orchid Rest, for such a lovely hosting experience.
The owner is very sweet and makes sure you’re not having trouble during your stay. There’s a lovely little kitchen where you can easily cook. The rooms are spacious, but the ground-floor ones don’t get sunlight, so they smell of mould. The beach is quite far away.
The owner was so welcoming and sweet. Mirissa beach is very close, and our room was spacious and clean. We also had a balcony with a beautiful view of the trees.
