W&D Beach Resort

The setting is lovely and the staff were nice, but we waited more than an hour for our food. My chicken burger was good. My boyfriend got food poisoning after eating the fish curry. I’m sure it was from here because I shared all his other meals that day and felt fine. I’m leaving this in the hope they take more care with food preparation for future visitors.

We picked our own seafood and they clearly explained the prices and flavors. It was fresh, tasty, and really good quality, and the meal became a highlight of our holiday. The beachside setting was beautiful, with live music as a nice extra. There are so many restaurants in mirissa that it’s hard to choose, but this one was easily the best. The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend 👌

The evening had a great beach feel, with tables on the sand and live music. Rashmika was especially kind and helpful, and really tried to make the night special. Earlier, while we were walking along the beach, I said I couldn’t find octopus anywhere, and he offered to catch one for me. The octopus was delicious and perfectly cooked (see video 😄). It came with two sides, and my fries and grilled vegetables were both great. My partner enjoyed her prawns too. At 10,000 LKR the octopus was a bit more expensive, but the quality and experience made it worth it. The rest of the staff were welcoming as well. Highly recommended for the food, beach atmosphere, and genuinely nice service.

We had a good seafood dinner and great service right on the beach. The best part was choosing our own fish and having it cooked on the barbecue. It was a little expensive, though.
