Yoho Lute Inn Piliyandala

The price seems reasonable for what they advertise, but the actual place is very different. We reserved three double occupancy rooms and were given two double rooms and one single. The rooms were dirty, and the pillowcases hadn’t been cleaned after the previous use. Bathrooms were in very poor condition: all had water leaks, the drains didn’t work, and after one shower nearly 1/2 inch of water had collected on one bathroom floor. There were no private room keys, and the attendants had very poor customer service skills. Their website says they accept Visa, MC, Amex, etc., but the attendant said that information was wrong and someone had posted it by mistake. They didn’t know anything about the WIFI either. When I asked for the password, they said there was none and told me to use my phone. My three devices picked up wifi from nearby buildings, but not from Lute Inn. The advertised amenities were either missing or in unacceptable condition. My rating for this place should be negative.

Nothing like the photos, this is just another short time joy place. The place was poorly maintained and filthy, with holes in the walls, dirty linen, and ants all over. I don’t recommend it.

I stayed in VIP room No 1. Maybe a VIP room doesn’t need a lock, I think. There was one pillow, but no towel or bedsheets.

Rooms are clean, and it’s very close to the town center. A good place to stay, though amenities are limited.
