The owner was rude, and this was a horrible stay. The guest house promised a lot but delivered little: there was no internet, and they demanded payment on arrival. My room was beside the kitchen, with a dining table just outside it, which seemed to be the staff room. There was no hot water, the room was shoddy, and only one socket seemed safe to use. Nobody cleaned the room or bathroom. The owner also claimed on booking.com that I had cancelled, but I hadn’t. I paid the full amount for my stay.

The area was peaceful, with a lovely pool and an easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff were so friendly and made the stay great. We arranged an airport pickup and had breakfast there too. It was incredibly relaxing, thank you! ✨

I ended my trip around beautiful Sri Lanka with two nights here before my flight. The hosts were friendly and kept the property in good shape. The garden was well maintained, the pool area was lovely and had a jacuzzi, and my room was spacious and very clean. With only a few rooms, I had the pool to myself a couple of times. Breakfast cost extra, but was worth it. I tried both the local and continental options. A treat at a very good price.

The mosquito net was dirty and full of holes, and my room was dim, dirty and very tired. It wasn’t cleaned during my stay. People used the dining table right outside the window from early morning until late evening. The compound is locked at 10pm because of the local drug problem, and I saw many needles on the beach.

The staff were really kind. Negombo is a busy city, but this was a quiet place to stay, and we had a really nice visit.
