The owner is a really kind and helpful lady who’s always willing to assist. It’s an affordable place, and the surroundings are peaceful and pleasant. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it.

The rooms are basic, which was just what I wanted, but well kept, and the water was hot. The staff were warm, lovely, and accommodating.

A lovely lady welcomed me for the few hours I needed before my flight, and even came out at 9 p.m. to make sure I got my tuk-tuk to the airport. The room was spacious, with a mosquito net and a fan. The air conditioning wasn’t working, though I don’t think it was advertised as having any. The fan was enough to keep me from overheating, which seems pretty standard in Sri Lanka. There’s a restaurant a two-minute walk away.

This was our first homestay, and Stephny and the other hosts made it a really good experience. They went out of their way to keep us comfortable and relaxed. Since we’re vegetarian, Stephny adapted the food to suit us. We’ll always be grateful for how much they did, and would recommend staying here in Negombo.
