Rodrigo's Villa & Restaurant

The hosts were so kind and helped me with everything I needed. My stay was very pleasant, with a spacious, clean, comfortable room, hot water, and wifi that worked well. Breakfast and dinner were both super delicious, and the portions were really big.

The garden was my favorite part, and the whole place feels carefully looked after. Rodrigos Villa is peaceful, but still close to nearby attractions and useful amenities. My room was clean, comfortable, and had what I needed. The staff made me feel at home from the start. I had a lovely stay and would happily come back.

We found cockroaches in the bathroom at night, and the sewage smell was so strong that we used old rags to cover the sink and floor drain. The toilet seat was broken too. There were extra charges for using the kitchen refrigerator and for gas to cook. Air conditioning was included in one room but would have cost extra in the other. I suspect this may have been deliberate pricing. When we settled the bill, they also charged us for a kettle they said we'd broken while boiling eggs, though its bottom was sealed, so that shouldn't have been an issue. Things turned unfriendly after we chose not to book breakfast or ask the hotel about tattoos, and looked for information ourselves. Guests who didn't book extra services got hardly any friendly words. I can't recommend staying here.

The food was really delicious, and the family here made us feel so welcome. They were very friendly and had everything we needed. This was one of the best stays of my life, and God willing, I'll be back next year.
