There are plenty of birds and butterflies around the grounds, and we spotted a pair of Mongooses. The peaceful setting, delicious food, and wonderful hospitality were so good that I didn't leave the property at all during my three days there. After a few days in Colombo meeting a friend and planning the next three weeks, I'd gone to Negombo for a weekend and booked the Cabana for three nights at Sobaya Bungalow, initially hoping to stay by the beach. I'm glad I came across it. When it was time to go, I already knew I'd have to return for my final night and day, whatever else happened. I'm back now. It's a fantastic place to start or end a trip around Sri Lanka, but don't make it just a one-night stop.

We only wish we'd had more time at Sobaya Bungalow. The story behind the home makes it special, and we were captivated by the beautiful estate. Suneetha and her daughters made fresh, delicious meals for us. It was a perfect end to our trip around Sri Lanka. The estate is about 20 minutes by car from BIA 🫰🏼

It felt like coming home ♥️ The people were so welcoming, kind, and helpful, and the rooms were comfortable and really clean. The garden is wonderful too. We stayed here when we first arrived in Sri Lanka and knew right away we wanted to return at the end of our three-week tour. We had the best food of our whole trip here. Thank you for everything.

The hosts are what make this place feel so special. They're warm, polite, thoughtful, and do so much to make you feel at home. The authentic Sri Lankan food was freshly made with so much care, and was the best I ate on my trip. Sobaya Bungalow sits in a peaceful coconut estate, surrounded by nature, with a gorgeous garden and an amazing pool. The house has so much character, with beautiful artwork and murals. It's really convenient to the airport, whether you're just arriving or heading home. I loved my stay and only wish it had been longer!

As soon as I saw Sobaya Bungalow, I knew I'd found the place for my wedding. I'm so grateful to Ishany and Aunt Suneetha for introducing us to it. They were attentive and supportive from day one, and made sure every detail went smoothly. The calm, elegant setting was stunning and worked beautifully for the wedding and our pre-shoot. The bungalow prepared fresh, organic, flavorful food that our guests truly enjoyed. I'd highly recommend Sobaya Bungalow for a wedding or another special event. Thank you for helping make our day unforgettable!
