We loved the small city chaos and the restaurants nearby. Getting to the airport is easy, but leave in good time or you might get stressed. We finished our Sri Lanka family holiday here and were happy with the stay. The location, room, pool, restaurant, and manager all felt well balanced. We booked the family suites, but be careful: the floor was extremely slippery, and all four of us fell. Breakfast wasn't amazing and could be better. White toast and sugary jam don't count as a normal breakfast, though that seems to be a national issue. It didn't spoil the end of our holiday, which was perfect. I highly recommend the location, and thank you for everything.

Hotel Swanee Grand felt like staying in a royal mansion, with its historical background and lovely setting. The staff, cleanliness, and hotel environment were all very good. It's close to the airport and just a stone's throw from the seaside, so the beach is easy to visit. The market is nearby too. If you have a transit visa, it could be an affordable and good option. A peaceful, lovely place to stay when arriving in Sri Lanka. It's convenient for arrivals and departures since the airport isn't too far away. The staff are helpful, and breakfast was delightful.

The staff are superb, and the hotel is beautiful and relaxing. I first stayed for one night before a flight, but it was far too nice to use only as a pre- or post-flight stop. I've returned several times and stay longer each visit. Now I choose to spend a few days there whenever I arrive in or leave Sri Lanka. I especially like getting away from the tourist trail and enjoying the true spirit of Sri Lanka and its hospitality.

I spent my last night in Sri Lanka here and was very happy with the stay. The staff were fantastic, the bed was really comfortable, and breakfast was filling. There's a pool with plenty of room to lounge beside it. I'd definitely come back, and highly recommend the place.
