Crescent Sea Resort

At “Crescent Sea Resort” in Nilaveli, we found a comfortable, relaxing place in a great location. The welcome was warm and the hospitality was amazing. A lovely choice for a peaceful getaway, with outstanding service. Highly recommended!

The garden looked lovely, with the plants all healthy and green, and the staff kept it clean. We had a great time at this resort. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful, and the customer service was excellent. Big thanks to the chef and cooking staff for the delicious seafood curries. I’d definitely recommend it to family and friends.

The pool and outdoor area were really nice and very well maintained. We paid little, so the stay was decent value, though I think there are better options in Nilaveli. We were there for three nights and noticed a strange bathroom smell on the second day. The air conditioner was a bit loud, too. We managed without raising either issue since it was a short stay, but thought it was worth mentioning. The staff seemed a little distant compared with other hotels we’d stayed at, although the manager was probably the kindest and most attentive. The Sri Lankan breakfast arrived cold, apparently from another provider, so we wouldn’t recommend that option. The Western breakfast was okay. For local food, nearby restaurants may be a better choice at the same price. Noise from the neighbors was a problem. There was loud music, a party bus, and karaoke at nearby houses, sometimes until midnight even on weekdays. If you go to bed early, that can be disturbing.

The pool was lovely, and the ocean was about a five-minute walk away for a swim. Our rooms were spacious and the toilet was very clean. The food was excellent, and the staff were cordial throughout. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back next time we’re in Trincomalee.
