Nilaveli Beach Hotel

The rooms were very clean, and breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. The pool was well maintained, the service excellent, and the location is right in front of the beach. Beautiful resort and a great experience, it should be rated higher than 3 stars.

Room cleanliness and food were fine, but this stay was very bad. We were there with friends from 30th to 31st Jan for two days. They said badminton was available, but what they provided was an outdoor volleyball facility. The bigger issue was the staff being untrustworthy and inefficient. While we were having breakfast, housekeeping entered our room and went through our belongings, even though we hadn’t asked them to clean it. When we complained to management, nothing was done. Whatever we lost that day is gone. Trust matters, and it wasn’t there. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The diving school has great guides for dive trips, and we had a really lovely two days at this hotel. The service was very good and our room was clean. You can tell the place is a bit outdated, but they do try to maintain it.

The grounds are beautiful and well kept, with a huge pool, a garden, and beach access. Our room was big and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The pool had leaves in it and a bit too much chlorine. It was the only open higher-end hotel in the area, so still a good choice, though a bit fae to town. Service could be better. Everything took 20 to 45min, whether it was breakfast or dinner, a beach towel, extra blanket, or hair dryer. For a cheap meal, walk left along the main street for about 10min. I paid 350 for fried rice.
