The garden is spacious and beautiful, with peacocks wandering around, and the staff were very nice. It’s a calm place close to the beach. We’d read the comments and expected the rooms might not look like the online pictures; they do need renovation. The AC was noisy and didn’t work well, the shower head was faulty, and with so many insects around in this natural setting, mosquito nets would help. The low price meant we weren’t too upset about those things. Breakfast was average, though it turned out to be terribly expensive: two breakfasts for two people cost almost as much as two nights in the room. The manager mentioned in earlier comments has changed. It’s a lovely spot, and the rooms could use some refreshing.

The peaceful setting and huge garden with large trees made our office get-together a lovely trip. There were 55 of us, and the rooms were in good condition. We went to secret escape nilaveli hotel on the 26th, about 150m from the beach, and enjoyed the good service from the staff. Tina communicated well and arranged everything we needed, with good management overall. I highly recommend it. ❤️❤️

This place is a great value if you’ll be out doing activities and just need somewhere to sleep. It’s very close to the beach, about a two-minute walk, though the hotel itself doesn’t face the water. The boat service to Pigeon Island leaves from that same beach. Renovations are still going on, and mosquitoes are common throughout the area.

The hotel and rooms were very unattractive and seemed unclean. We booked AC rooms, but they gave us non-AC rooms, so we didn’t stay. The service was poor, and when we asked for a refund, they refused.
