There are several room types here, from couple and triple rooms to family chalets, which makes it easy to suit different groups. We really enjoyed the good food and nice variety each day, plus the big pool, greenery, and laid-back island feel at Palmera Eco Resort in Trincomalee. In the evening, the cosy sunset lounge has a lovely view over the farm and lagoon. There's also a pool table, a big TV for watching a movie, and gym equipment, all of which we liked. The beach is about a 15-minute walk and the lagoon around 10 minutes away. If you're walking outside the resort, mosquito spray is a good idea. Thanks to Nalinda, the manager, for looking after us, Chef for the tasty food, especially the Seafood Fried Rice, and the energetic, lovely housekeeping boy and Sathsara, the warm, friendly receptionist. We had a great time and highly recommend the resort.

The staff were attentive and gave us great help arranging activities and travel. The food was very good, with lots of choice. Rooms were comfortable, though the bathroom could use a few more things. The hotel and pool are nice. You'll need a tuktuk to reach the beach and other restaurants, but they're really not far.

We spent 2 nights and three days here with family, and the place was quiet, green, and had a beautiful pool. The pool hours weren't strict, which made an early morning swim easy. Staff were caring, friendly, accommodating, and quick to respond when we needed something. The food was tasty, and the grilled seafood platter was worth the price. I definitely recommend it for families and couples.

We were there for four nights. The place was spotless, with beautiful grounds, well-kept gardens, and a lovely pool area. The welcoming, kind staff made the stay even better. Breakfast wasn't the usual Western style, but we got used to it quickly, and the fresh juices were amazing. It's very close to the beach even though it's not right on the seafront. We rented a tuk-tuk, which made getting around easy. A wonderful stay we'd definitely recommend.

The staff were pleasant, and dinner was fine, but the rest of the stay wasn't for me. Breakfast was disappointing apart from the mango, the path to our room was in poor shape, and the pool looked murky. The room was reasonably clean, though the linens felt poor quality. There was dampness in the bathroom and red marks on the mirror and headboard. I guess you get what you pay for.
