Andrews Hostel

Saman is a good man and a close friend now. I first met him when I visited his place a year ago, and we've become friends since then. I love the place. It's a 10-minute walk from the city centre, which is great if you enjoy walking. There's a lovely garden and plenty of room to work or relax. Highly recommend it!

Tasha, the daughter, speaks English very well and is helpful and informative. Her father is quieter, but very nice too. If he has time, he can pick you up or drive you around in his yellow Toyota, which is the best-maintained car in all of Sri Lanka. The rooms have private bathrooms and are very clean, and the shared sofa and TV area is comfortable and in great shape. A very nice place to stay!

The owners, Mr & Mrs Sam, gave us wonderful hospitality and service. We had a great stay at Andrew's Lodge and would definitely come back. The views and garden are lovely, and it's a 15-minute walk to town. Everything was up to standard and just as promised, so we're glad we chose it. Well worth the money.

The place was clean and had hot water, and Sam was a safe driver who didn't drive recklessly like some of the other drivers we'd had. He and his daughter were great hosts, sharing all the information we needed and quickly arranging the trips we wanted at a fair price. His daughter was especially helpful and welcoming. A great place to stay!
