Dover Cottage

The garden was lovely and well cared for, and the cottage’s English style shows in its beautiful, thoughtfully chosen interior. The views felt heavenly, and the location worked perfectly for our family. Everything was very clean, and we all felt peaceful and at home. Yoga and Pushparaj looked after us with so much warmth. They made us feel welcome, served delicious food, and happily went out of their way to prepare what we liked. One of the best places we’ve stayed. Our holiday at Dover Cottage Nuwara Eliya was unforgettable. Best wishes to the management team!

Pushparaj and Yogi really make this place feel like home, with warm smiles, great tea and food, and a willingness to accommodate everyone. The hilltop setting gives you lovely views over tea estates and mountains, by day and at night. It’s close to town but away from the crowds, and works well for both small and large groups. One of my best trips in Sri Lanka. I’d happily come back and recommend Dover cottage to anyone visiting the area.

The rooms and linen were very clean, and the food was great. The cottage has a lovely garden and terrace, plus a cosy living room and library. We stayed for a couple of days in April and the views were pristine. Staff were attentive and courteous. The room furniture and curtains, though, felt tacky and low quality.

With green tea gardens all around, this pretty hilltop cottage feels warm and cosy, like a summer home. Pushpa and his wife Yoga gave us a lovely welcome.
