Lemas Holiday Bungalow

We really appreciated the friendly, helpful, professional staff and their attention to detail. The bungalow was peaceful and comfortable, very clean and well maintained, with all the facilities we needed. The heaters were especially useful in the cool weather. Highly recommend it.

The caretaker was friendly and made us a very nice BBQ dinner from the food we supplied. The bungalow itself was scenic and seemed well maintained. We were nine people staying one night. There were five double rooms plus an extra room without beds, with enough room for 10 altogether. The rooms and washrooms were tidy, though not very spacious. There was a sound system we didn’t use, a microwave for heating food, and carom and checkers boards for fun. Playing cards were advertised but weren’t there. Hot water was available, and the rooms had portable heaters, though some would stop working and needed restarting again and again. The price was a touch expensive, and getting there was difficult. The turn uphill from the main road was very sharp, so a big vehicle couldn’t make it in one go. The road got rougher near the bungalow, and steering into the parking area was hard. A low-clearance vehicle would struggle to reach it. Parking barely fit two small vehicles.

Everyone had a great time, including the kids, and I’d definitely recommend this place. The caretakers were friendly and helpful, and we enjoyed their cooking. The place was clean, maintained, and had the basic needs for a family stay. I didn’t care for the bathroom doors. Also, some neighbouring bungalows played music too loudly. Management should work with local authorities on rules to cut off loud music by midnight at least.

The view was beautiful and the place well maintained. I stayed for more than three days and had a wonderful experience. The service was superb, and almost all the dishes were fabulous. Kudos to the two chefs Wasantha and Eranda, who did a wonderful job looking after our needs from time to time.
