The owner was waiting to pick me up when I arrived by taxi, and he was really helpful and nice. He speaks good English and shared useful tips for enjoying the trip. The guest house is up in the mountains, a little way from town, but the walk takes only 10 or 15 minutes. My room was clean and tidy, and the fluffy blanket kept me very warm in chilly Nuwara eliya. There are two cute, naughty dogs too. The price is attractive, so I strongly recommend this guest house.
It has a lovely homestay feel, and you can cook your own food if you want. The owner is very friendly, the place is well kept, and there's parking for your vehicle. The city is about a 10-minute walk if you enjoy walking.
The kitchen area was untidy, and there was no housekeeper. The owner was running the place alone and couldn't give good service. It might be okay if you have no other option. Still, I'm thankful to the resthouse owner for lending us warm jackets for free in the cold, rainy weather.
A good, affordable spot, and you can walk to town from here.
