The views were great and the cook was nice, but the stay felt very unsafe. The owner had friends over, and both nights they were drunk, partying and fighting. During one of those drunken fights they damaged their own pipes, leaving us without water the next day. For the price, I really wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The rooms are comfortable, but a heater would make this a better option for families with kids. Food choices were limited to regular meals, since there wasn’t a variety of menu options and the cook wasn’t there to meet our needs. The service also wasn’t what we’d agreed on.

We visited with our friends’ families on 30 August 2020. The meals weren’t up to what had been agreed during the booking call. The place is outside Nuwara Eliya city limits, and the access road was cracked and in poor condition. The promised services weren’t provided, so it wasn’t worth the price.

I paid half the cost in advance after discussing the booking by phone, then arrived on 18 December 2021. The photos they’d sent looked like they might have been taken 15 to 20 years earlier. The whole place was worn and neglected. Only two rooms had hot water, and there was no cook or gas. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The place was clean and very nice, and the staff were courteous. I’d definitely recommend it. 11/23/2016
