Hotel Silver Falls

That hotel day out was such a happy, refreshing break. We shared good food, lots of laughs, and some peaceful moments, and I really valued that time together. Your thoughtfulness and warmth made it special. I'll remember the day fondly.

Only two staff members were kind and did their best, bringing us a heater and burning oud to help with the smell. The rest of the stay was very disappointing. We'd picked the place for its closeness to the train station and its good reviews, but it wasn't what we expected. The rooms and hallways smelled damp and musty, with mold across the walls, and everything seemed old, neglected, and unclean. Nuwara Eliya is colder than other Sri Lankan cities, yet there was no room heating. They charged 1500 LKR for a small heater that switched itself off at midnight, so we froze all night. For that poor quality, the price was far too high compared with the much better places we stayed during our 10-day trip.

All the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food was amazing. We had a wonderful stay in Nuwara Eliya. Thanks especially to Dinusha for the warm hospitality and excellent service. I'd highly recommend this place!

Getting there via Nanuoya Road is convenient and avoids the hassle of narrow bends on the surrounding roads. The rates are very reasonable, and the friendly, helpful staff go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the in-house restaurant served delicious food. It has the basic amenities you'd expect, including hot water, a water heater, coffee, milk, sugar, and tea bags, but no room heater. The exterior may not look striking, but inside was a pleasant surprise. I'd recommend Silver Falls Hotel for a simple, hassle-free stay with good value for money.
