A peaceful location close to everything, with quiet nights, made this a comfortable stay. The room was spacious, spotless, and nicely decorated in a modern style. I liked the cozy bed and the quality of the pillows and linens. Staff were friendly and professional, housekeeping did a great job daily, and room service was quick and tasty. Breakfast was included and good, and check-in and checkout were easy. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.

Maha Royal Hotel is close to town and has a lovely lake view. The room was comfortable and beautiful, and in the evening they set it up to feel cozy, with hot water bottles and everything else needed. Ragu was a great server, and the cooks, servers, manager, and host were all wonderful. They were thoughtful and attentive, packed snacks for our hikes, suggested things to do, and made the experience feel personal.

Good value for the money, and the owners are super friendly and help you with everything. Lake Gregory and gregory park are just 100 m away. The rooms are a little disappointing, but cozy and clean. 💛

We found Maha Royal Hotel relaxing and memorable. It’s in a peaceful spot but still near the town center, and the rooms were very clean, cozy, and looked out over the surrounding hills. Breakfast had a nice selection of local and Western food and tasted great. The staff were warm, attentive, and quick to help, with extra effort to make us comfortable. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.

I’d seen quite a few negative reviews lately and was hesitant to book Maha Royal, but after staying yesterday, everything went perfectly. The welcome was warm, my room was exceptionally comfortable, and the whole experience was wonderful, well beyond what I expected. It leaves me curious about why there have been so many bad reviews recently.
