Midky Hotel Nuwara Eliya

We were left without a place to stay after Midky Hotel, Nuwara Eliya canceled our confirmed booking at the last minute and gave the rooms to other guests. They blamed us for not answering their calls, although we never received any calls from them. It was an extremely unpleasant experience. The dismissive attitude added to our frustration, and the lack of accountability and professionalism is unacceptable for a hospitality business. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reliable, respectful stay.

The food was easily the best part of our stay. It was absolutely beautiful, and the best we tasted in Sri Lanka. The hotel is on the peaceful edge of town, with lovely valley views, and about a 20 minute walk to the centre. The room was comfortable, WiFi was reasonable, and the cost was fair. The shower was the one real downside, as hot water was poor. We also would have appreciated a little more accurate advice about trains and other things.

We had a great honeymoon stay here and would love to return. The rooms were very good, the staff friendly, and the food was great. It's in a nice, easily accessible location, and the price is very reasonable for the service. I love this hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Nuwara Eliya.

The host was really friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfy and had good heating and a nice shower. Breakfast and the bed were good, and they even got my laundry done overnight. This was the best hotel I stayed at in Sri Lanka, even compared with a 5 Star Hotel. I switched from another place in Nuawara Eliya because the bed there was terrible and it was cold at night. I'm taking one star off because there was some mold, with Sri Lanka's very high humidity, and the shower water stopped being hot after a while.
