Oak Ray Misty Hill - Nuwara Eliya

We had a reservation for our organized group after an excursion, but no food had been prepared when we arrived. The tables still had dirty dishes on them, the kitchen looked unclean, and staff were standing around without suggesting what could be done. There was only Coca-Cola and water to drink, and both were warm. After we complained, they brought bread, a few cakes whose origin was questionable, and trays of food in very poor condition. Many of our group still had nothing to eat. Even our guide and drivers, after a full day's work, got no meal at all. They knew the group was coming, yet there was no explanation or attempt to find a solution. It showed a total lack of respect. The service was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

The staff made us feel well looked after, and the food was delicious and carefully prepared. Misty Hills also has lovely views and such peaceful surroundings that it was easy to unwind. A memorable stay, and I'd happily recommend it.

We stayed in Sri Lanka at a lot of places, and this was the best hotel for us. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. Sri Lankan people are also so kind and nice. Thank you Sri Lanka, and thank you Oak Ray Misty Hills.

Even though we had a confirmed group booking, there was no food ready when we arrived. The tables were dirty, the kitchen was filthy, and the staff offered no solution. All they had to drink was warm Coca-Cola and water. After we complained, they brought food of questionable quality. Completely unacceptable. Avoid this place.
