That view when we woke up was unbelievable. We spent two nights at the Pigeons nest. The rooms are a bit dated, but they were clean, and the large bed could be heated on cold nights. The hot shower worked well too. The owner and staff were among the kindest people we've met so far. They really tried to help us get the most out of nuwara eliya, and gave us plenty of suggestions for activities and restaurants when we arrived. Breakfast was great both mornings. If you're looking for a good hotel in nuwara eliya, this is a great option.

We stopped for a night at Pigeons Nest in Nuwara Eliya on our way from Kandy, and it worked out perfectly. The setting is calm and cozy, with a stunning mountain view from our clean, comfortable room. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely recommend the breakfast. A great place to stay while visiting Nuwara Eliya or taking a short pause during a trip through Sri Lanka.

The outside area was a little messy, but once I was in the room, everything felt just right. It was very spacious and well kept, with a big, clean washroom, a soft bed, and an awesome view. The room price was reasonable too. I wasn't expecting much from this home stay, so I got more than I expected. I'd definitely recommend it, you'll have a great experience.

The host was so kind and gave us really helpful recommendations. They even sent over a jacket we'd forgotten! The rooms were clean and cozy, and the service was amazing. Thanks for a wonderful stay! 😌

We ended up at the Pigeon's Nest for five days instead of two because Cyclone Ditwah left us stuck in Sri Lanka, and I wouldn't have wanted to be stranded anywhere else. With no signal anywhere in town, none of us knew what was happening, including the family. They were kind, reassuring, and attentive while we were all struggling, and I always felt safe and cared for. It's a lovely place in beautiful surroundings, about a 15 minute walk from town.
