We stayed in the Demata room, which had the best view in the hotel. Waking up to it was special. The food was tasty and well prepared, and the chef deserves thanks for the good meals. Ilango looked after us and made sure we were comfortable, and the service was friendly and welcoming throughout. The Plains Green in Ambewela is calm and cozy, with some of the best views around and a peaceful hill country feel. It’s also close to Horton Plains National Park, which is handy for a visit. One of the most luxurious, relaxing places to stay in Ambewela, and worth visiting for locals and foreigners.

They managed to put together a lovely candlelight dinner at short notice, which made our visit feel extra special. We stayed two nights at The Plains Green in the spacious, well-kept Sanctuary Room, which had all the amenities we needed. The mountain views from the location are breathtaking, but it was the attentive, warm, genuinely helpful staff who stood out most. The food was consistently delicious and thoughtfully made. It felt like heaven on earth, and I’d highly recommend it.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with modern amenities, and the views are breathtaking. Staff were attentive and friendly. Ilango gave us such warm, personal service, and Chef Bandara clearly knew how to please our taste buds. Everything exceeded expectations.

The calm atmosphere made it a lovely place to get away, and every part of the stay felt carefully looked after. Manager Pradeep and the butlers team, Ilango, Seelan, Supun, and Kumar, were especially kind and attentive to the details. The staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived and always ready to help. I had a wonderful, memorable stay at The Plains Green and would recommend it to anyone wanting a peaceful visit. I hope to return.

The breakfast spread was lovely, with fresh local produce. The rooms were spotless, warm, and well equipped, just right after a day out exploring the misty tea country. The staff were welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay feel special. Set in Nuwara Eliya’s cool hills, The Plains Green blends comfort with the beauty of the surrounding landscape. It felt like a home away from home, and I’d gladly recommend it to visitors.
