Getting around was easy: Sita Amman Temple and Gregory Lake are nearby, and the main bus station is about a 15-minute ride away. We had trouble finding food around the hotel, though, and the curtains in our room didn't cover the windows completely. Ajit welcomed us warmly with a smile and made a real effort to help us feel safe. The host even arranged a cab to Ella and checked that we were all right. For a short stay on a budget, I'd recommend Span Grand Holidays Resort.

The staff were kind and welcoming, and I liked the peaceful setting and the lovely view. They're opening a new six-floor place with an elevator, and everything there is brand new. It's still in pre-opening, so there was no wifi, but the inconvenience felt worth it.

The price felt very fair for the service, and the surroundings were peaceful, just right for a relaxing break. The staff were friendly and so helpful, and everything was kept to an excellent standard of hygiene. Highly recommended.

We wanted somewhere peaceful and good value for our first anniversary trip, and Mr.Peter gave us a lovely welcome. Room number 09 was the one we loved. It felt like a comfy little heaven, with plenty of space and an amazing view through the window, even though there wasn't a balcony. There's lots to see around Hill city nuwaraeliya, so it's a great place to stay while travelling in the area. For photography, though, there's no real outdoor backdrop for taking pictures.
