Luna Beach Home & Cabanas - Hostel

The staff were super kind, and the place was very clean. It's a lovely quiet spot right by the sea on the wide beach at Pitiwella. Each morning and afternoon you can watch the fishermen at work. There are local and tourist restaurants nearby. 100% recommended.

The beach cabanas sit right on the sand, and the view is stunning. I started my three-week trip around Sri Lanka at Luna beach home, then came back to spend my last days there too. The beach is nice for swimming, and there are a few bars on the beach for food and drinks. The family is lovely and happy to help with any questions. Thanks for giving us the most relaxing stay of the whole trip. We'll definitely return.

It's a cute, humble beach spot between the road and the sea. The view is nice and everything was clean, but the place is small and short on common spaces. The seawater wasn't very clear, so I had some doubts about what might be in it. The family can be pushy about money. They said they'd had plenty of bad experiences with travellers, so I hope business improves and they feel less stressed about newcomers. Check what's included in your price, as they may charge for electricity, the fan, and other charges. Don't book too long unless you're sure, because they hardly accept a shorter stay, even for an emergency.

The food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. Breakfast is included and was so delicious, I'm still dreaming about it. The family makes every effort to keep guests happy. When we came back for our second stay and arrived very late, around 11pm, they still welcomed us with drinks and even made us dinner. The clean, lovely cabanas are right on the beach, where you can fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the sea. I felt at home there. It's such a welcoming place to relax in Sri Lanka. If I could, I'd give it a million stars.
