There’s a kitchen, BBQ setup, gym, and other facilities. It could work for a family stay, though the rooms aren’t very large and not all have attached bathrooms. Parking is tricky because the ground isn’t flat, and getting up to the rooms takes quite a bit of energy.

The open area at the top gave us the mountain view we’d been hoping for, with cool mist all around. My wife and I spent two nights here, on the 8th and 9th of April, and were glad we’d picked such a pleasant, trouble-free place for our holiday. It’s conveniently close to Haputale town, and we were surprised by how tidy it was and that it had all the utensils needed in a house. The room was OK and the linen clean. We plan to come back for a longer stay during next year’s school vacation. Thank you, Mr Samarasinghe (snr. and jr.), for letting us enjoy the mist and homely atmosphere in your cottage.
