We stayed just one night during our road trip, but felt at home right away. Sumal is a super kind family, running a really authentic Sri Lankan guest house. The rooms were clean, with a nice garden and balconies, and there’s a restaurant out front serving delicious seafood. His wife, a real local with a big heart, told us interesting stories about Sri Lanka and its history. She has lived here for 60 years.

Very poor experience. There was no staff or service, and the owner kept nagging all the time. In my opinion, some people pay to stay, but we didn't stay.

A very good place to stay.

Every part of our stay at Sumal's was excellent. Her warm welcome, kindness, and efforts to make us comfortable deserve five stars on their own. I recommend her without reservation.

Sumal is a wonderful, pleasant host. He speaks excellent English and German, and explains everything with real expertise while organizing fantastic excursions. Thank you, and see you next time! 🙏🏻
