For a budget hotel, the price and location are hard to beat. Our rooms were clean enough and reasonably maintained, with AC and hot water. There were about 20 of us across roughly 8 rooms. They arranged everything needed for a night of drinking, with great meals and snacks, then served a killer breakfast and an equally noteworthy lunch. It was a nice experience.

Manel and her family were lovely, helpful, and so welcoming. Layan suggested a boat tour, where we got to see both an amazing sunset and elephants. We had a great time and felt at home. Thank you for everything!

The paddy field view was lovely, and the food was really yummy. I found the owner honest, while the staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was great. Manel guest house was a great deal for the price, and I had a wonderful stay. I'd definitely recommend it!

The rooms could be a lot neater and better organized, especially since the location has such a nice view. Still, it was quite affordable, so I don't have any major complaints. The spot by the paddy fields is lovely, with hammocks where you can sit, catch the breeze, and enjoy the quiet. You can rent their bikes for sightseeing. Ravi and suranga deserve appreciation for their service!

We had a pretty good time during our 2-night stay. Manel hotel is close to the ancient archaeological site, which meant we managed to visit 95% of it. The rooms were spacious and cozy, the food was great, and the staff were excellent. It's also a good place for outdoor parties. I'd recommend it to average travelers on a budget. 😊😊
