We rented bicycles from the hotel, which was really convenient, and the ancient city is just around the corner. The whole hotel complex is like a big garden, with a large pool that was perfect after a long day at the ancient city. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. The rooms were in great shape, very clean and tidy, with a TV, AC, and hot shower. The hotel manager and staff were attentive and made us feel welcome. Thanks for a nice stay!

The staff were so friendly and attentive, and the whole stay ran smoothly from check-in through check-out. Our room was comfortable, clean, and clearly well looked after. We had a lovely time here and would happily come back. Definitely recommend it for a relaxing stay.

The safari with Shiran was a real highlight. We saw over 50 elephants, along with countless birds and smaller animals, and he was knowledgeable and considerate toward the wildlife. He let the visit unfold at a calm pace, with time to be quiet and appreciate the park away from the noisier jeeps. The hotel is also right by the archaeological park, an easy, enjoyable bike ride away, and the hotel arranged inexpensive bikes. It’s a modest complex, but the service felt like what you’d expect at a top hotel. Staff handled daily room service and replenished the bottled water, collected our luggage, and the manager kindly drove us into town for our onward travel. The menu was very reasonably priced and had delicious iced drinks. There’s a pretty green garden and a spotless pool, too. After a month in Sri Lanka, this was one of our best stays, mainly because of the staff’s professionalism and attention to detail. For the price, they went well beyond what we expected. We felt looked after and were very sorry to leave.

The gardens are beautiful, and there’s a lovely pool. It’s a really nice place to stay and great value, with fantastic staff who are friendly and very well trained.
