Super nice place. I stayed two nights at grand regent. Douglas is a star with a unique personality, and he was kind and super helpful with all our requests throughout the stay. The restaurant there is very, very good too. Would definitely recommend it. Thanks a lot, dagi!

The room's AC was too weak for it, and the old bathroom and shower were dirty. The hotel looks age-worn, and I suspect it only makes significant money in high season. There are quite a few out-buildings for massage and spa operations, but in the off season they seemed completely dead. Our driver dutifully suggested that we buy some kind of spa treatment. My impression is that in the off season, this "resort" is mostly used by tour packages looking to cut costs by putting customers in a second rate "resort."

The place is beautiful, with spacious and comfortable rooms. Service was a big 10, though the electrical and plumbing systems were inadequate.
