Anura, thank you for everything, you’ll always be in our hearts. Such a friendly, helpful family. The rooms are cozy, well air-conditioned, and worth what you pay. I’d come back 100 times. The food is tasty and cheap if you don’t want to go out.

The family running Anura made it easy to feel at home, and that local Sri Lankan experience is why I’m giving it five stars. It’s not as polished as a hotel, but we had a truly pleasant stay we won’t forget. They also rent out motorbikes, bicycles, and Tuktuk. Sigiriya Rock Fortress is within walking distance, while Pidurangala is a few kilometers farther. We visited both in one day, and Anura was a handy basecamp. After those climbs, the meals and desserts were delicious. I’d spent three days in Sri Lanka before arriving and hadn’t enjoyed the trip much until then. Thank you Anura Homestay!

The owners are very nice, and staying here has a homely feel. Some of the rooms are inside their house, and the food was very good. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Sigiriya rock. There’s a scooter for rent too, which makes visiting Dambulla and nearby places convenient.

Breakfast could have had more choices, and cleanliness could be better. Still, I’m glad I stayed for the welcoming family feeling, and I’ll keep very nice memories of the place. Anura homestay really is a home-stay. The owner was super helpful and arranged whatever he could to make my stay easier.

A really bad stay. The room was filthy, and don’t look under the bed. The blankets were dirty too. No towels, soap, Wi-Fi, or other service. The shower, toilet, bathroom door, and entrance door were broken, with a cord needed to keep the entrance shut. The owners were absent, and the price was indecently high. Stay away!
