I spent three nights here and used it as a base for visiting the nearby ancient cities. As a solo traveler, I felt really well cared for, and the room, food, and hospitality were all great. Ravi is also a qualified guide for Sigiriya Rock and the surrounding area. Highly recommend.
The weather wasn't great during our stay, but Ravi and his family made us feel very welcome. His brother has a small traditional restaurant beside the cottage, and the family are keen to help you see the area's nature and sights. They can take you around by tuk-tuk or van. We really enjoyed our time here and recommend it.
Ravi, who owns Mowgli cottage, was a wonderful host and took great care of us. It worked really well as a base for visiting the different sites around Sigiriya, and Ravi can help arrange tours. Highly recommend!
The rooms felt very western, with a big bed, air conditioning, a hot shower, a flatscreen and a lovely breakfast. They were clean and new, too. Ravi and his family do everything with so much love and a smile, and made the place feel like heaven. I have high standards, and they nailed it. I love the place and the people who run it, and I'd stay again. All the best to Ravi and family from Paula & Martin from Holland!
We stayed three nights and it was all good. The room was clean, and the host and his family were really sweet. I was always excited in the morning to see what they'd bring for breakfast. It was amazing every day. Definitely recommend this place ❤️
