I rarely bother writing reviews, but Dhanushka and his family at Kashyapa deserve a mention. They were friendly, and Dhanushka was a brilliant guide and host. He made us feel safe and shared information about the Island that helped us a lot. His English is very good, which made for some fun conversation. He arranged tuktuks at very short notice for Dambulla and for Pidurangala Rock at 5am. Sadun was a brilliant driver with excellent English, and he stopped at several important spots around Sigiriya. He even bought us watermelon, which we really appreciated. Dhanushka also booked us a taxi to Pinnawala Orphanage and then on to Kandy, all at a low cost. Don't overlook this stay.

We chose this hotel for its good reviews and the lovely view of sigiriya rock, and spent one night there at a very reasonable price. The staff were welcoming and arranged an early morning tuktuk to Pidrungala rock. Our room and bathroom were both large and clean. Breakfast was good, and the view made it worthwhile.

The owner and staff were incredibly nice, attentive, and helpful. We had a very good stay and enjoyed the beautiful view. There was a little mold in the bathroom, which seems to be due to the area's high humidity. Many thanks to them.

I couldn't sleep because there were too many bugs in the bed, and the air conditioner leaked until the bed was soaked. My room smelled like pee, and the whole hotel felt dirty, damp, and disorganized. The entrance was flooded, and the broken concrete floor was uneven and rattled. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned, with lots of hair and dust left by whoever stayed before. It seemed as if nobody was looking after the rooms. Calling this a hotel is ridiculous. Anyone who sleeps here is really brave. I don't recommend it.

I stayed here on March 27 and forgot to leave a review earlier. The view from the hotel is fantastic, and the owner is amazing. The rooms are really cozy. If I come back, I'll definitely visit this hotel again to see the wonderful staff.
