We felt so welcomed by the family, who were warm and always smiling and checking we were okay. The tree house was a different experience and worth every penny. There are lots of windows to open, and the mosquito nets are built in, so we felt comfortable. The bed was comfy, breakfast was delicious and different every day, and she tried to explain what each dish was. She’s a great cook, and we could have dinner at the house too. The water was cold but refreshing, and there were tiny frogs in the bathroom, so cute. Be ready to live close to nature. Pidurangala Rock is a nice 15-20 minute walk away, but there aren’t many restaurants nearby, so you’ll need transport. They were ready to arrange it, though we had our own tuk-tuk. The boss's cousin Sunil arranged everything and was ready to help us get what we needed. When we mentioned a tree branch hitting the roof, he cut it off right away. Thanks again, and all the best!

Jerry’s hospitality made our family stay memorable. He welcomed us like family, helped with local tips and transport, and showed us a few places off the beaten path that made the trip extra special. The hotel is peaceful and surrounded by lush forest, with Sigiriya Rock Fortress just a short drive away. We loved waking up to birdsong and the forest views. Our rooms were spacious, clean, well maintained, and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The homemade Sri Lankan meals were delicious, and we looked forward to them every day. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay at Sigiriya Forest View Hotel. Thanks, Jerry. We’ll be back!

The tree house is sturdy and a real adventure, a must do when staying in the Sri Lankan jungle. We saw that new cabins were being built, too. Breakfast is included and was amazing, and the dinner we had there was delicious. The host was so welcoming and helpful, showed us around, including a hidden lake, and offered great tours at a fair price. Of all the good hosts we met on our trip, this was the nicest. One of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka, and we’d definitely come again!

Sleeping to the sounds of the jungle was amazing. The forest cabane was comfortable and clean, and the family hosting us were really kind and helpful. We had a great stay at Sigiri Forest view and would recommend it 100%.

We wouldn’t recommend this place. We booked a deluxe room but were given a cheaper one instead. It was shabby and needed urgent bathroom repairs, including a sink faucet that sprayed water everywhere and didn’t work properly. We only had cold water. The listing photos were probably taken years ago. We’ve stayed in much better places in Sri Lanka for a lot less.
