My wife and I stayed here for our 4th anniversary. There were just us and another foreign couple, but we still got a really good, friendly welcome and service. The room was neat and clean, and they arranged a romantic dinner night for us. I’d recommend Lario Resort if you’re looking for somewhere around dambulla,sseegiriya area.

We stopped here after walking at Lion’s Rock, a tour group of 20 looking for lunch and cold drinks. The tables are outdoors under cover, with fans, and there was a breeze at times. I enjoyed the vegetable kottu roti. Others in the group chose various western meals, including omelettes, soup and sandwiches.

The staff really made this stay for us. They went out of their way to cook special food for our children, including our 11-month-old who had just started solids, and they were the best part of the experience. The food was good, too. Lario was a handy base for five nights of seeing the main sights near Sigirya. We booked two rooms, both spacious and clean, and the family room had plenty of space plus an attic. Its stairs are steep, so we kept an eye on our adventurous three-year-old, though he loved it. I’m picky about bathrooms and found them very clean. We had a wonderful stay with our two little ones, aged 11 months and 3 years. It was good value, and I’d recommend it. I saw a few reviews mentioning room problems; anything we raised was fixed right away, so just let them know. Thanks for a lovely stay.

I only ate here, I didn't stay in the rooms. The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and the pool area was really lovely.

The atmosphere makes it a pleasure to stay here, and everything is spotless. The service was easily the best I've ever had at a hotel. Highly recommended!
