Sigiriya Amaya Lodge

Breakfast was varied every morning, with fresh, tasty food we really enjoyed. The garden is beautifully green and very well cared for, giving the place a peaceful, relaxing feel, and the pool was clean, a good size, and perfect for cooling down after a day out. Lakmal and his wife looked after everything and made us feel welcome. They arranged a chauffeur for an elephant safari, which worked out perfectly, and recommended an excellent spa center where we had a wonderful time. We stayed at Liyon Rest for three nights and had a truly unique experience. I'd recommend it to anyone without hesitation, and we'd definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Lakmal was friendly and helpful, shared good local advice and offered tuk tuk rides to nearby sights without pressuring us. The cabin was lovely, with a nice balcony, AC and mosquito nets. It looked picturesque, and the pool was clean and refreshing. The outside area was tidy and very clean, and we spotted a range of wildlife. There are a few restaurants and shops within walking distance if you need them, and they offer great Sri Lankan breakfasts and meals. If you're looking for a place to stay in Sigiriya, you should definitely stay at Liyon Rest.

The pool was lovely for relaxing, and the room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was fresh, delicious and high quality. We felt welcome from the start. The staff were kind, attentive and genuinely cared about what guests needed. Their recommendations helped us make the most of the area. Everything was held to a high standard and exceeded our expectations. My experience at Lyion Rest Sri Lanka was truly wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, great service and a beautiful stay 🌴✨

The peaceful grounds have a swimming pool, and the room was spacious and very clean. The location is right in the middle of Sigiriya, with lots to see and do nearby. Lakmal made us feel at home straight away and sorted everything out without fuss, from a moped rental to a cooking class and local information. Mamas food was amazing. We had both dinner and breakfast there, and they were traditional home-cooked meals. Customer service was a true 10/10. I can't recommend it enough!
