Sigiriya King's Resort

The staff really made our three nights special. They were professional, efficient, and always charming. Thanks to everyone, especially Champi and Achinta. The resort is small and beautiful, with spotless, spacious rooms that are carefully designed and have everything you need, plus a clean pool. From the property, we had close views of Sigiriya and Pidurungala across a lovely wild lake, which was perfect for birdwatching. We loved the nearby excursions and every minute here. The restaurant was excellent, with à la carte lunch and a set menu with choices at breakfast and dinner.

The lakefront setting was stunning, with plenty of wildlife and birds around, and it gave the place a peaceful, unusual feel. It’s also conveniently close to Lion Mountain, a good base for exploring. The food was lovely, with a good selection of local and European dishes, and fresh juice was included with breakfast each morning. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, and both of us felt right at home. Service was outstanding and every part of our stay exceeded expectations. We’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

The curry was especially out of this world. We usually eat away from where we stay so we can get to know the towns and villages, but here we had every meal at the restaurant because the food was that good. This has been our favorite place in Sri Lanka so far. All the staff at Sigiriya Kings Resort were so nice, friendly, and helpful, and we felt very welcome. We enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you all!

We were eager to make a good start to our holiday, and Sigiriya Kings Ressorr delivered. It was our first stop in Sri.Lanka, and we found the staff welcoming, the facilities excellent, and both famous rocks within walking distance. The clean, cool room helped us sleep well, and I’d definitely recommend staying here. The on-site restaurant was genuinely good. Breakfast was lovely, with a choice of continual or Sri Lankan, and one morning we ate overlooking the lake in the eagles nest. The chef was amazing, with a varied menu of Sri Lankan and other dishes and a good range of vegetarian meals. Dining staff and reception were wonderful too. They sorted out anything we needed and suggested interesting activities.
